AGRIPAK offers its long lasting consultancy in the field of raw materials to be used according to the markets that are in the target of the customer.

We can assist our clients to select the ideal type of plastic raw material/thermoforming  foil to be used for a given product (PET, PET/EVOH/PE, PET/PE, metalized PET,  PP, PP/EVOH/PP, PS, BOPS, PLA just to mention some) and help them to identify the best specific sources existing in their market area.

AGRIPAK can also supply to its customer some of the abovementioned thermoforming foil such as BOPS, PET, PP, PLA & mPLA. All materials are available in rolls with a wide range of colours, sizes and thicknesses.

BOPS FOIL

The main features of BOPS (BI-ORIENTED POLYSTYRENE) are no taste, no odor, high transparency, stiffness, easy forming/processing and cheapness, thus assuring the primacy in different packaging sectors.

The OPS foil we supply is certified according to ISO-9002 and to CFR 21#177.1640 F.D.A. for food and environmental suitability.

PET FOIL

In order to offer a full range of thermoformed foil for food packaging, Agripak can also supply Polyethilene Terephthalate (PET) to its customers, certified for food and environmental suitability according to ISO 9002 and to CFR 21#177.1640 F.D.A.

PET foil grants up to 90% of light transmission with a subsequent high grade of brightness and optical properties wich adds to the well-known characteristics of this thermoplastic resin: no taste, no odor, stiffness, easy forming/processing and cheapness.

PP FOIL

PP foil is a product which can be used for packaging especially olives, deli products such as meat, chicken, turkey, salami, sausage, ham, fresh pasta, ravioli  and  ready meals in general as well as many other areas (yogurt cups, drinking cups and so on).

Products thermoformed with PP foil  are also suitable for microwave oven. PP thermoformed products can be sterilized, pastorized and as well they can go into freezers.

PP foil can be as well supplied with barrier layer (EVOH) and a sealeable or pealeable top layer.

PLA & mPLA FOIL

Agripak is always keeping a particular focus on what plastics environmental impact and food suitability can be; for this reason we have been one of the firsts to propose on the European market Natural BIOPLASTIC 100% biodegradable and compostable.

The PLA (POLYLACTIC ACID) is a biopolimer obtained from the corn starch with a different process from the one used to obtain the Mater-Bi). The PLA we supply is totally biodegradable and compostable according to EN13432. It withstands temperatures up to 50°C. It is perfectly transparent and mainly used for the production of thermoformed cups/containers with esthetic and mechanical features similar to polystyrene.

The mPLA (modified-POLYLACTIC ACID) is a development of PLA sheet in terms of heat-resistance, so to be used also in traditional and microwave ovens. Shows an advanced resistance to high temperatures – up to 115°C – without however losing the features, the performances and the environmental impact of the PLA biopolymer itself. The mPLA we supply is totally biodegradable and compostable according to EN13432.
